Collage Project

7th graders are currently learning about perspective: self in relation to others.

In order to continue exploring this theme,
students created collages that reflected different groups of people and their values

For example, the collage from Period 2 and 3 on the left-hand side
reflects the Brookland neighborhood community and their values.

One Point Perspective Drawings

This past week, in 7th grade art, students began Unit II
(Perspective: Self in Relation to Others)

To begin thinking about this topic,
students created a one-point perspective
pencil drawing of a city street that reflected their community.

The process involved using a ruler
to draw lines leading to one vanishing point.

The results are below!

Mandala Project

Welcome to Artists of Brookland ,
a blog documenting the artistic explorations of Brookland Middle School students.

The most recent project we created in art class is a mandala.

Mandalas are:
designs that represent the universe through radial symmetry and intricate patterns.

Take a look at our creations!
